Ride Leaders sought for Sky Ride Programme

Can you inspire your local community to get on a bike?

British Cycling is on the hunt for new Ride Leaders to help inspire more people in Ipswich to get on their bikes and start cycling for fun.

If you love cycling recreationally and want to support others to get riding, become a British Cycling Ride Leader and lead group bike rides in Ipswich.

British Cycling welcomes all kinds of cyclists – as long as you have heaps of enthusiasm and you’re happy to support beginner bike riders and families. There’s no need to be a cycling expert or competitive racer, just be confident riding in a group and have a good level of fitness.

The free, assessed one-day course qualifies you to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths. The next free Ride Leader training course in Ipswich:

What: British Cycling Ride Leadership Award course

When: 12th April  2014

Cost: FREE

After completing the leadership award, Ride Leaders will receive free kit and British Cycling Ride membership.

In return, we expect our Ride Leaders to be flexible with their weekend availability and commit to leading guided rides on no less than four weekends during 2014. All rides are delivered on set routes, at set times, specified by British Cycling, the majority of rides will take place on Sundays during the spring and summer months.
